I met Karen at her Accelerator Program with Key Stage Ventures: ‘Investment Readiness’. I was initially impressed with Karen’s and her team knowledge, so I asked them if they would like to help us raise our first round of investment. We started working together during the Pandemic COVID-19 and within this period we raised £250k with a Family Office and the option of further investment. I liked their approach. They allocate their team members to parachute into your company to look at your strategy, structure and then work with you daily. Karen lead on raising the investment through her global network of investors and also supported us with the Term Sheets; while Matt guided us on our company structure and management. I would recommend and endorse Karen and her team if you wish not only to raise investment but also put together/review your fundraising strategy. We will continue to work within them and be part of their Accelerator Program to present at their Annual Family Office Conference on October 2020.

We all know that, as angel investors and entrepreneurs, initial business promotions and gaining initial financial strengths are like moving a super tanker. Karen is an example of how you can successfully move the super tanker and how you can gain high quantity of leads in such varied sectors as biotechnology, medical cannabis, clean technologies and real estate. I attended a ‘Lunch and Learn’ workshop organised by Karen. I’m preparing to fundraise and the workshop was pitched at just the right level to demystify what’s involved when fundraising in relation to crowdfunding in particular. The length of the workshop was good too, timed to make sure we weren’t overwhelmed with too much information. Helpful slides, well presented. All in all, I now feel ready to start the fund raising process with confidence.

Karen has always made an incredible job when it is organising start-up/investors summit. I have great pleasure working with her, and she understands very well what are the needs from an investor perspective required to succeed, and what start-ups need to show to investors. She is enthusiastic and always full of energy. Passionate about her job, and her will to make companies she is working with to be successful. As an overseas investor, I have attended a few of Karen’s events and am pleased to say, that it is the best opportunities for looking for fresh and innovative investments for any potential investor.  Not only is Karen’s events very enjoyable to attend from both a professional and social standpoint, she also seems to have an innate sense to select investments and opportunities that she knows will appeal to her investor’s appetites, whereby the program and itinerary flows systematically from speakers to presentations,  the audience is assured to have a selection of quality investments options at the end of the event. On addition, I know that Karen personally screens and selects each proposal and opportunity, not only based on the potential, profitability and viability of the project, but also based on each individual founder and merit, so therefore I have full confidence and no hesitations in exploring taking up offers and investment opportunities that I receive from Karen’s events.

I was honoured to be on the Family Office panel for Karen’s Online Spring Family Office/Investor Conference on Impact/ESG/Technology Family Office Trends in March of 2021. She and I first met some years ago in Tunisia where we were both speakers at an event supported by various governments including Germany, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Not only does Karen have a strong grasp on impact investing for investment fund mandates but most importantly, she has on-the-ground experience and networks in emerging economies. I look forward to her Family Office Summit on 22 July 2021 in London. Karen is a very lovely person to work with and I personally intend to do more work with her great organization.

I had the pleasure of working with Karen in 2019 as a Key Note Speaker and Judge for our Africa Start Up Gate Summit 2019. Karen has continued to support our Tunisian Eco system and that of the MENA countries and her experience that she shared with the delegates at the Summit was and it to this day far reaching to inspire and educate Entrepreneurs in this region. I also know that Karen continued her networking with Inviting some of our Delegates to London to her Family Office Events and some of our Entrepreneurs attended her Accelerator Program.
